From Smoke-Filled Lounges to Self-Healing Journeys - My Story is Proof That It’s Never Too Late to Take Your Health Back. Hi, I’m Bruce-musician by trade, wellness researcher by necessity. For 35 years, I lived and breathed the life of a lounge musician. It was gritty, soulful, and rich with unforgettable experiences—but it came at a price. Back then, you worked long hours in smoke-filled rooms, inhaling secondhand smoke until your body begged for mercy. By the time I got older, it was clear I had some health issues to face. But I wasn’t ready to slow down or surrender. What I did do was take the same dedication, persistence, and hard-earned confidence that helped me survive in the music business—and redirected it toward something that could save my life: researching alternative remedies. For over 20 years now, I’ve been on a quest to uncover natural ways to support and strengthen the body. I’ve dug into everything from ancient folklore and midwife wisdom to Civil War-era treatments and the contents of 1800s doctors’ bags. I’ve explored forgotten remedies—some surprisingly effective, some not so much—but all part of the rich history of healing that existed long before modern pharmaceuticals. No, I didn’t invent any of this. I’m not reinventing the wheel. I believe that God’s great love gave us everything we need to care for ourselves. I’ve just taken the time to find what’s already there and now, I feel it’s time to share it. The truth is, I’ve felt guilty keeping these discoveries to myself. I’ve seen results in my own life, and I believe others deserve the chance to experience the same. So I’m launching a blog-a space where I’ll share what I’ve learned in simple, down-to-earth ways. I’m not promising miracles, and I’m not offering cures. But I am offering knowledge, encouragement, and practical tools to help you relieve common ailments with time-tested remedies. Because here’s the hard truth: doctors today aren’t in the healing business-they’re in the symptom-management business. That’s not a slam on modern medicine; it’s just the reality. If we want to truly care for ourselves, we have to become our own advocates. That means being proactive, staying informed, and—most of all—being consistent. Consistency is the key. I’ll be the first to admit I’ve never stuck to a strict exercise routine. I’d go strong for a week or two, then fall off. But a week or two won’t get you results. It’s the years of small, steady effort that make the difference. And while medications might offer quick fixes, they often come with long-term costs-damaging our kidneys, livers, and gallbladders, the very organs we need functioning at their best. That’s why I’m inviting you to join me on this journey. A journey of self-care, rediscovery, and quiet empowerment. The goal is simple: feel better. And once you do, you’ll be in a position to help others feel better too. Let’s walk this path together-backed by history, guided by truth, and powered by love.
